EDF power solutions North America has signed two 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with NV Energy for the Winston Energy project in Nevada. The project will combine 400 MWac of solar capacity with a 400 MW / 1,600 MWh battery energy storage system. Developed on private land in Lyon County, the Winston Energy project is scheduled to go live in October 2029. This initiative is expected to generate approximately 1.11 million MWh of electricity annually, powering around 100,000 Nevada homes. EDF anticipates the development will employ over 400 workers during peak construction and generate approximately $100 million in local tax revenue over its operational life.
