Egypt's New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) signed an agreement with Voltalia and Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA) to repower and develop a 3 GW hybrid wind-solar project at the ageing 544 MW Zafarana complex into a 3 GW green power hybrid.
