Emergy completed the sale of the 168MW Alibunar wind project in Serbia to Heavy Energy International, marking a material milestone in the project's development lifecycle. The Alibunar Windfarm A and B, developed by Emergy in partnership with WV International, has now been formally transferred to the buyer following the fulfillment of all closing conditions. Heavy Energy International is expected to commence construction activities in the near term, positioning the project to contribute to Serbia's renewable energy ambitions and long-term energy security. Emergy highlighted the transaction as a key achievement under its strategy to originate, develop, and mature large-scale renewable energy projects across Southeast Europe. The company added that it continues to advance a substantial pipeline of wind and solar projects throughout the region with its partners, reinforcing its role in the regional energy transition. Jan-Philip Suhren, chief executive of Emergy, emphasized the high-quality, construction-ready status of the asset and its potential to deliver clean energy to Serbia for decades.
