Type: Acquisition · Technology: Solar · Country: United States · Capacity: 270 MW · Value: $140M · Announced: 2026-05-20

Enel Green Power North America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Enel, agreed to acquire seven operational solar PV plants in the US for approximately $140 million. The portfolio has a combined installed capacity of around 270 MW and average annual output of approximately 0.4 TWh, with assets located in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The transaction includes two solar plants in Virginia totaling over 120 MW, one plant in North Carolina exceeding 90 MW, and four plants in South Carolina totaling around 50 MW. Enel expects the acquisition to contribute approximately $20 million per year to consolidated ordinary EBITDA, with an enterprise value of around $140 million and an expected impact on group net financial debt of approximately $180 million. Closing is expected by the end of 2026, subject to customary conditions including regulatory approvals in the US. The deal aligns with Enel's strategy to accelerate growth of its generation capacity from renewable sources through the acquisition of assets already in operation in Tier 1 countries.
