Enercitif secures service concession to develop and operate two municipal solar installations in Paris
Type: Partnership · Technology: Solar · Country: France · Announced: 2026-07-03
Enercitif signed a service concession with the City of Paris to finance, construct and operate two rooftop solar plants under the “Energieculteurs” programme. The 21 kW installation on the roof of the Jongkind school and the 113 kW system on the Pierre Mendès‑France college in the 15th and 20th arrondissements were commissioned in July 2026. Together the plants are expected to produce roughly 130 MWh of renewable electricity each year for the schools and nearby municipal buildings. The concession runs for 15 years, after which ownership of the assets will be transferred to the City of Paris for an additional fifteen‑year operation period. The project demonstrates a financing model that combines municipal ownership, an operator’s capital and a citizen fund‑raise targeting €30,000 from Paris residents. Enercitif will supervise construction with local contractors while the City of Paris acts as the off‑taker of the generated power.
