Enercoop Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes and SEM Energ’Isère sign a 30‑year PPA for the Saint‑Romans solar photovoltaic park
Type: Ppa · Technology: Solar · Country: France · Announced: 2026-06-25
Enercoop Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes and SEM Energ’Isère have signed a power purchase agreement to sell the electricity generated by the Saint‑Romans solar photovoltaic park for a period of 30 years. The 1.8‑hectare ground‑mounted solar farm was built on a former quarry in Saint‑Romans (Isère) and was commissioned in November 2025 after construction began in November 2024. The project incorporates biodiversity measures such as preserving wasp nests, creating a pond, protecting hedgerow woodlands, and installing bird and bat boxes. The PPA secures a long‑term revenue stream for the developers while supporting Enercoop’s renewable energy portfolio in the region. The agreement was highlighted during the park’s inauguration in June 2026, attended by local authorities and environmental groups.
