Energiekontor, EHA and dm sign 10-year PPA for 11 MW Kolitzheim‑Herlheim solar project in Germany

Type: Ppa · Technology: Solar · Country: Germany · Capacity: 11 MW · Announced: 2026-07-22

Energiekontor, EHA Energie‑Handels‑Gesellschaft and retailer dm have signed a 10‑year power purchase agreement for the 11 MW Kolitzheim‑Herlheim solar PV project in Bavaria, Germany. The solar park is slated to begin commercial operation in the first half of 2027 and is expected to generate more than 13 GWh of renewable electricity each year. EHA will manage the energy output and balancing group, while Energiekontor will develop and construct the facility, and dm will source the electricity for its stores across Germany. The agreement supports dm’s strategy to secure long‑term green electricity supplies and reduces the retailer’s reliance on fossil fuels. The deal demonstrates that high‑quality solar projects in Germany can be realised economically without subsidies under the Renewable Energy Sources Act. The PPA provides both parties with planning certainty and avoids approximately 9,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.
