Energiter's Equinox floating solar project in Cher, France, to be executed by Urbasol

Energiter is developing the Equinox solar project, France's first authorized floating photovoltaic power plant in the Cher department. The project, located on a 13-hectare former quarry site, is estimated to produce 5,678 MWh per year, equivalent to the consumption of approximately 2,500 households. Urbasol will be responsible for the execution of the project, with construction scheduled to begin soon and commissioning planned for the first quarter of 2027. The Equinox project aligns with the SRADDET Centre-Val de Loire's objective to meet 100% of regional energy needs with renewables by 2050.
