Energy Vault acquires 2.3GW BESS portfolio from Goshe Energy Storage

Energy Vault acquired a more than 2.3GW battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio from Goshe Energy Storage, announced on 2026-09-22 and spanning 15 projects. The portfolio is anchored by two ready-to-build projects of 150MW and 200MW, with those projects forecast to reach commercial operations in Q1 2028. Energy Vault will integrate the assets into its Asset Vault subsidiary for financing, development, ownership and operations, and a team of development professionals from the acquired portfolio will join Energy Vault to continue project delivery. The company stated the two ready-to-build projects are expected to generate approximately US$30 million of combined annual run-rate EBITDA once operational. The acquisition is supported by a credit facility commitment of up to US$40 million from S2G Investments to assist development, construction and operations of the portfolio.
