Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Oil Gas · Country: Mexico · Announced: 2026-05-06

EnerMech secured a subsea pre-commissioning contract from Subsea7 for the Trion ultra-deepwater oil development offshore Mexico, marking a strategic expansion in deepwater services. The Trion project, located 180 kilometers offshore in the Perdido Fold Belt at water depths of 2,500–2,600 meters, will feature 24 subsea wells tied back to a new floating production unit (FPU) and floating storage and offloading (FSO) vessel. Under the agreement, EnerMech will provide flooding, cleaning, gauging, hydrotesting, and nitrogen dewatering services for Subsea7’s subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines installation program. The work will leverage EnerMech’s facilities in Houston and Villahermosa, Mexico, deploying dedicated pre-commissioning equipment and embedding project planners within Subsea7’s teams for offshore execution. EnerMech emphasized its deepwater expertise and Gulf of Mexico delivery track record as key differentiators for this contract. The project is a joint venture between Woodside (operator) and Mexico’s state oil company PEMEX, highlighting its regional significance for Mexico’s energy sector.
