Enertrag secures PPA with EDF Trading and battery tolling agreement with e2m for hybrid solar-plus-storage project in Germany
Type: Ppa · Technology: Hybrid · Country: Germany · Capacity: 44.5 MW · Announced: 2026-07-06
Enertrag has signed long-term commercial agreements for its 44.5 MW solar plant and 5 MW/10 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Brandenburg, Germany. Energy trader EDF Trading will purchase and market the solar output under a seven-year power purchase agreement (PPA). German flexibility trader e2m will manage the battery under a seven-year tolling agreement, initially operating as a green electricity co-location asset for five years before switching to a gray electricity co-location model. The Brüssow project is designed to maximize use of an existing constrained grid connection, which already serves 33 MW of wind capacity and an approximately 20 MW battery energy storage system. The new assets will utilize the remaining available grid capacity, avoiding the need for a dedicated connection and optimizing project economics.
