Ventura Offshore agreed to an amendment with Searah West Ganal Limited and Searah Ganal Deepwater Limited for the drilling of the JKNE Upside-1 Dir well, adding $21.7 million to the firm backlog of the SSV Catarina semi-submersible rig. The contract extension, signed on September 25, 2026, is expected to keep the rig working into December 2026, following a previous option exercised in July 2026. The SSV Catarina, a sixth-generation semisubmersible capable of operating in water depths up to 10,000 feet, is owned and operated by Ventura Offshore and managed by the Eni and Petronas joint venture Searah. This drilling campaign includes four optional wells, with the new well coming on top of the previously exercised fourth well and tophole.
