Enrich Energy secures EPC contract for 290 MWh NTPC battery storage project in Andhra Pradesh

Enrich Energy has been awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract by NTPC Ltd to develop a 290 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at the Simhadri thermal power station in Andhra Pradesh, India. The project scope includes end-to-end BESS installation and integration with existing thermal infrastructure, covering battery systems, battery management systems, energy management systems, SCADA systems, power conversion systems, and inverter-duty transformers. Enrich Energy will also deliver a 400 kVA substation with bay integration to 33 kV switchgear, along with protection, communication, auxiliary, and fire safety systems. The contract includes remote monitoring and control infrastructure as well as operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the project. The BESS project is part of NTPC's broader strategy to enhance grid stability and integrate renewable energy sources into its thermal power infrastructure.
