Enverus acquires A2D well log library from TGS ASA

Type: Acquisition · Technology: Oil Gas · Country: United States · Announced: 2026-07-08

Enverus completed the acquisition of the A2D well log library and associated data products from TGS ASA on July 8, 2026, integrating the world’s largest commercial well log database into its energy intelligence platform. The transaction expands Enverus’ subsurface data capabilities with over 8 million depth-calibrated raster logs and 1.9 million digital LAS files spanning millions of wells across every major U.S. basin, including more than 5 million proprietary logs not available from public sources. The A2D library, originally built by A2D Technologies in 1993, provides formation tops, petrophysical interpretations, and basin-scale attributes that will be connected to Enverus’ existing production, completions, land, ownership, costs, economics, and analytics workflows. The deal strengthens Enverus’ proprietary data position by adding subsurface depth and quality to its platform, enabling faster decision-making from rock understanding to return analysis. TGS ASA confirmed the transaction ensures continued improvement of the A2D library’s value for industry workflows.
