Type: Development · Technology: Data Center · Country: Netherlands · Capacity: 80 MW · Announced: 2026-06-30
Equinix announced the development of its tenth and eleventh data centers in Zuidoost, southern Amsterdam, designated as AM9 and AM10. The project will source 80MW of power for the campus, with construction planned in phases due to grid congestion in the Amstel III area. The initial build-out is limited to approximately 25 percent of the total permitted development, focusing on the first tower, and electricity consumption will be capped at this level until 2036. Equinix’s Amsterdam data centers are spread across multiple locations, including Amstel III (AM1, AM2, AM5, AM7, AM11), Betondorp (AM6), the Science Park (AM3, AM4), and Sloterdijk (AM8).
