Equitix sells Enerfarm biomethane portfolio to VORN Bioenergy

Equitix has sold its Enerfarm portfolio of five anaerobic digestion and biomethane plants across Northern Italy to VORN Bioenergy. The portfolio, acquired by Equitix in 2022, evolved from biogas-to-power assets into a biomethane platform during Equitix's ownership. The transaction includes associated composting operations and is expected to have a production capacity of more than 215 gigawatt-hours per year, equivalent to the thermal energy requirements of approximately 20,000 households. The deal marks Equitix's 20th exit over the last five years and supports VORN Bioenergy's strategy of expanding its European biomethane platform. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.
