Eureka secures supply agreement with Yinson Production for FPSO backup power system

Offshore energy equipment supplier Eureka secured a turnkey supply agreement with Yinson Production to engineer, manufacture, and deliver a containerized backup power generator set for the Abigail-Joseph floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) unit operating on the Anyala and Madu fields offshore Nigeria. The customized generator package features an optimized high-speed engine solution designed for reliability in remote offshore environments, with engineering and procurement managed from Eureka's headquarters in Fornebu, Norway, and its Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina office. Manufacturing and assembly will occur at Eureka's facility in Sørumsand, north of Oslo, while commissioning, startup, and operational support will be handled by the company's Norway-based service team. The FPSO Abigail-Joseph is owned by Yinson Production and leased to First E&P for operations offshore Nigeria, where the backup power system will ensure continuous operations far from shore. Eureka emphasized its experience delivering gensets to offshore assets globally and its commitment to high-quality execution to meet Yinson Production's reliability expectations.
