German energy company EWE, through its subsidiary Offshore-Windpark Riffgat GmbH, launched a tender for helicopter transport services to support maintenance and emergency repair operations at the 113.4 MW Riffgat offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. The tender, divided into four lots based on helicopter configurations and passenger capacities, requires contractors to provide helicopters for personnel and equipment transport between Emden or Borkum and the wind farm, with potential flights to other wind farms. The contracts, running from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2029 with two one-year extension options, mandate availability for planned operations within 19 hours of notification and immediate readiness for unplanned repairs. Requests to participate must be submitted by 1 October 2026 at 10:00 CEST, with invitations to tender expected on 15 October. Riffgat, built by EWE in 2013 with 30 Siemens Gamesa 3.6 MW turbines, has been operated by Omexom Renewable Energies Offshore GmbH since 2020 and supplies power to ONE-Dyas’ N05-A platform in the Dutch North Sea since December 2025.
