Exalto Energy & Innovation secures €4.8 million financing for 10 MW renewable energy portfolio in Italy

Exalto Energy & Innovation closed a €4.8 million financing package to develop ten renewable energy projects totaling 10 MW across Sicily, Calabria, Puglia, and Sardinia. The portfolio includes nine ground-mounted solar photovoltaic plants and one agrivoltaic facility, with nine projects using single-axis trackers. The Sardinia project stands out as the only one already under construction, featuring both rooftop installation at a kennel and ground-mounted components. The combined capacity of 10 MW (9 MW solar, 1 MW agrivoltaic) is expected to generate approximately 15 million kWh annually, sufficient for 5,000 households. The financing was provided through two separate loans of €2.5 million and €2.3 million from Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena and Intesa Sanpaolo respectively. The projects will operate under Italy's Comunità Energetiche Rinnovabili (CER) framework to enable shared self-consumption, cost reduction, and distributed energy production.
