FDN, an entity under Grupo Bicentenario, closed COP 37.481 billion in project financing for the Chicalá 13 MWp solar park in Colombia using a project finance structure. The debt package, approved in May 2026, includes a 14-year term and covers 100% of the project's financing needs. Verano Energy, the project developer, reported that construction had reached 60% completion at the time of financing approval. The solar park will connect to the Sabanalarga substation via a 1.85 km transmission line operated by Transelca, with an expected annual production of 25.9 GWh. Verano Energy confirmed full module installation in July 2026, positioning Chicalá as its first operational solar plant in Colombia.
