Fener Perú, a subsidiary of Spain's Grupo Enhol, received environmental approval for its 175.2 MW Windica hybrid wind-solar project in Ica, Peru, on July 10, 2026. The project, with a total investment of $261.5 million, will feature 150 MW from 25 wind turbines and 25.2 MWac (29.94 MWp) from 54,432 bifacial solar modules. It includes a substation and a 21.8 km, 220 kV transmission line connecting to the Nueva Intermedia substation within Peru's National Interconnected Electric System (SEIN). Construction is slated for 18 months, with an estimated operational life of 30 years, and approximately $196.2 million allocated for the construction phase. The environmental study confirmed no overlap with protected areas or indigenous territories.
