Ficus Solar to build 100 MWp solar plant with 27.6 MW / 82.8 MWh storage in San Luis Potosí

The Ficus Solar project has submitted its Regional Environmental Impact Assessment (MIA-R) for the construction of a 100 MWp photovoltaic plant in Ébano, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The project also includes a 27.6 MW / 82.8 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The solar field will be divided into three generation areas, utilizing 135,148 Trina Solar i-TOPCon bifacial modules and 1,766 single-axis trackers. Huawei inverters are specified for the conversion process. The BESS will use lithium-ion ferrophosphate (LFP) batteries with liquid cooling, offering a three-hour charge and discharge time. Energy evacuation will be managed through a 115/34.5 kV step-up substation and an approximately 0.85 km, 115 kV transmission line to the SE Ébano. The estimated annual electricity production is 198.01 GWh, with a projected lifespan of 25 years.
