Fotowatio Renewable Ventures signs EPC and balance‑of‑plant contracts with Canadian Solar and TEC‑C for the 100 MW Terang battery storage project

Fotowatio Renewable Ventures contracted Canadian Solar to provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the 100 MW / 200 MWh Terang battery energy storage system in Victoria, Australia. The agreement also appointed Sydney‑based TEC‑C to deliver the balance‑of‑plant works for the project. The Terang BESS, comprising 48 SolBank 3.0 battery containers and 38 SMA inverters, is now operating at full capacity and supports the National Electricity Market. The deal expands FRV's portfolio of utility‑scale dispatchable energy assets and adds a material storage component to its predominantly solar generation portfolio. The contracts were announced alongside the commissioning of the facility in September 2026.
