Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Enea sign agreement for regional renewable energy community governance

The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Enea have signed an implementation agreement to define the governance of a large-area Renewable Energy Community (CER) spanning the entire regional territory. This agreement marks a new phase for the project, which was initiated in 2025 and aims to establish a coordinated regional energy system. The first phase of co-design, involving 25 regional entities, concluded in April 2026, leading to the identification of a participation foundation as the legal structure for the CER. The constitution of this foundation is expected between September and November 2026, followed by the activation of the initial energy configurations. The project seeks to move beyond individual local initiatives by building a multi-level governance structure that integrates strategic vision with local specificities.
