Futureal Energy Partners and Finnish renewable energy developer Aurinkokarhu announced a strategic partnership to co-develop approximately 3 GW of solar, battery storage, and hybrid projects across Finland. The portfolio includes 1,855 MW/7,420 MWh of battery storage capacity and 1,188 MW of solar projects, with several hybrid developments combining renewable generation with storage. Futureal will participate in the development and financing of the pipeline, which targets 1.1 GW to reach ready-to-build status in 2026, while the remaining projects aim for RTB between 2027 and 2028. The partnership follows the successful completion of the Tuovila battery storage transaction in 2025, marking a deepening of collaboration between the two companies. Structured through a Swedish holding platform, the agreement covers an early-stage development pipeline expected to exceed 800 MW across Finland and Sweden.
