GE Vernova signed a turbine supply agreement with Powerica Limited for the 100 MW Botad Wind Farm in Gujarat, India, marking the debut of GE Vernova’s 3.8 MW–154m onshore wind turbine in the Indian market. The deal includes both turbine supply and installation, with deliveries scheduled to begin in Q4 2026. Powerica secured the project’s Power Purchase Agreement through a competitive auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), ensuring long-term revenue stability for the project. All 28 turbines will be manufactured at GE Vernova’s facility in Pune, which is expected to reach up to 1,500 MW of annual production capacity, strengthening India’s domestic wind supply chain. The turbine model is optimized for Indian wind conditions, featuring advanced lightning protection and an industry-first digital blade certification process applied to every blade produced.
