GE Vernova Inc. has signed an agreement with Electricity Supply Board (ESB) to supply 16 units of its 6.1 MW-158 m onshore wind turbines for the 96 MW Chleansaid wind farm located in the Scottish Highlands. The deal includes a 20-year services agreement and utilizes turbines manufactured in Germany. This project marks the first use of GE Vernova's 6 MW turbine in the UK and reinforces the strategic relationship between the two companies, supporting the UK's goal of decarbonizing the power grid and expanding renewable capacity in Scotland. ESB's Chleansaid project is their first wholly developed onshore wind project in Scotland, representing a material step in their renewable energy ambitions.
