Genux awarded two solar projects totaling 201 MWp with battery storage in State of Mexico

Genux has been awarded two photovoltaic projects, Lagartija and Ocelote, located in the State of Mexico, through the 2025 Binding Planning process. The two installations will collectively add 201 MWp of solar capacity and include battery energy storage systems (BESS). The estimated investment for both developments is approximately $165 million. Once operational, these plants are projected to produce around 490 GWh annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of over 150,000 Mexican households, and are expected to avoid the emission of approximately 250,000 tons of CO2 equivalent per year. Genux, a joint venture between Exus Management Partners and Glencore, has over 5 GW of projects in development across Latin America.
