GEO awarded geotechnical survey contract for Awel y Môr offshore wind farm using vessel Connector

GEO was awarded a geotechnical survey contract for the Awel y Môr offshore wind farm site in the UK, with survey works scheduled to begin on 12 May 2026 using the vessel Connector. The campaign will include cone penetration tests (CPT), seismic CPT, and vibrocoring, with activities expected to continue until 15 June 2026 subject to weather and sea conditions. The 576 MW Awel y Môr project, developed by RWE off the coast of North Wales, is one of seven extension projects awarded seabed leases by The Crown Estate in 2020. The geotechnical investigations will provide critical data for turbine foundation design and project development planning.
