Glamox acquires Consolite Technology to expand naval and defense lighting business

Norwegian lighting specialist Glamox completed the acquisition of U.K.-based Consolite Technology, a defense lighting and optical communication systems provider. Consolite specializes in military lighting, night vision technology, military LiFi systems, and specialist lighting solutions for defense environments, including naval applications. The acquisition expands Glamox's Marine, Offshore & Wind division, with Consolite becoming part of this portfolio and collaborating closely with MARL International. Following the transaction, the combined entity will leverage synergies in engineering, sourcing, production, and commercial operations to enhance mission-critical lighting solutions for naval and defense customers. Astrid Simonsen Joos, Group CEO of Glamox, highlighted defense as a strategic growth area, emphasizing the complementary technologies and customer relationships Consolite brings to the partnership.
