Global Data Infrastructure Sdn Bhd, the data center arm of Malaysia's Global Telecommunications Group, acquired a 36-acre parcel in Kota Seri Langat, Selangor, to develop a 210MW data center. Kota Seri Langat is spearheaded by Malaysia’s state-owned fund management company PNB, alongside pension fund investment agency Kumpulan Wang Persaraan and real estate firm AREA Industrial Development Holdings. Global Telecommunications Group operates four existing data centers in Malaysia (Kulim, Melaka, Sedenak, Kuching) and one in Batam, Indonesia.
