Goldwind signs cooperation agreement with Ova Enerji for 43.5MW wind and battery storage project in Türkiye

Goldwind signed a cooperation agreement with Ova Enerji, a subsidiary of Genpa | Erdem Holding, to develop the 43.5MW Çayırlar RES hybrid project in Türkiye’s İzmir province. The project combines five GWH182-7.5MW wind turbines and one GW165-6.0MW turbine with a battery energy storage system to deliver dispatchable renewable power to the Turkish grid. Located in the Bergama region of İzmir, the scheme is designed to enhance grid stability, improve capacity factors, and support Türkiye’s renewable energy transition. Goldwind noted that its cumulative installed and contracted capacity in Türkiye will exceed 1.2GW by the end of 2026. The company also highlighted that its GWH182 platform is expanding across markets in South America, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
