Greenvolt Next secures €35 million project finance from Millennium bcp for distributed solar in Portugal

Greenvolt Next secured a €35 million project finance facility from Millennium bcp to support distributed generation solar projects across Portugal. This financing package combines the refinancing of an existing portfolio of over 120 operational projects, totaling more than 30 MWp, with additional funding for new corporate self-consumption installations. The existing portfolio includes distributed self-consumption installations ranging from 10 kWp to over 1 MW, serving corporate clients in sectors such as industry, logistics, agri-food, hospitality, retail, services, infrastructure, healthcare, and the social sector. Both the refinanced portfolio and the new projects benefit from long-term power purchase agreements, strengthening Greenvolt's ability to expand its distributed generation footprint in Portugal. João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt Group, highlighted that this transaction reflects the quality and robustness of their portfolio, paving the way for a new phase of development in the market.
