Greenvolt Power signs supply agreement with BYD Energy Storage for 600 MW Siedlce battery storage project in Poland
Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Storage · Country: Poland · Capacity: 600 MW · Announced: 2026-07-01
Greenvolt Power signed a supply agreement with BYD Energy Storage to provide the Haohan battery storage system for the 600 MW (2.4 GWh) Siedlce battery energy storage project in Poland. The Siedlce BESS, secured through the Polish capacity market, is slated to begin construction in Q3 2026 with commercial operation targeted for the end of 2027. The project will bolster Poland’s grid flexibility and support the integration of renewable generation, complementing Greenvolt’s broader Polish pipeline of 2,595 MW of battery storage. The partnership expands Greenvolt’s existing collaboration with BYD, which previously supplied battery technology for two 200 MW projects in 2025. Both parties highlighted the role of large‑scale storage in enabling a more resilient energy system and accelerating Europe’s renewable transition.
