Grenergy closes $268 million financing for 342 MW solar and 1,034 MWh battery hybrid plant in Chile

Grenergy has secured $268 million in senior non-recourse financing, including credit lines, for its Monte Águila hybrid power plant in Chile. The project integrates 342 MW of solar power with 1,034 MWh of battery storage and is part of the larger Central Oasis platform. The financing was arranged by a syndicate of international banks led by BNP Paribas, with participation from KFW IPEX-BANK, Coöperatieve Rabobank, Natixis, and The Bank of Nova Scotia. Construction of Monte Águila began in October of the previous year, and it joins other previously financed phases of the Central Oasis platform.
