Grenergy finalized a 12-year hybrid power purchase agreement (PPA) for 350 GWh annually starting January 1, 2028, with an undisclosed Moody’s and Fitch investment-grade energy buyer. The deal covers the Algarrobal phase of Grenergy’s Oasis de Atacama platform, combining 242 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity with 1,412 MWh of battery energy storage. The project is scheduled to begin operations in Q3 2027, marking Grenergy’s fifth phase expansion under the Oasis de Atacama platform. The hybrid PPA structure enables energy delivery beyond solar irradiance hours by integrating battery storage. On May 27, 2026, Grenergy announced a broader expansion plan for Oasis de Atacama, targeting 2.5 GW of solar and 14 GWh of storage across the platform, positioning it as Latin America’s largest battery energy storage system (BESS) development.
