GridMarket and Deployable Energy form partnership to deploy microreactors for data centers
Type: Partnership · Technology: Nuclear · Country: United States · Capacity: 500 MW · Announced: 2026-07-08
GridMarket, a US energy development platform, partnered with Deployable Energy to deploy advanced nuclear microreactors for the data center sector. The companies aim to deploy 500MW of capacity annually from 2030 to 2035, potentially supporting over 3GW of total capacity by 2035. GridMarket will connect its customer pipeline and deployment-ready sites to Deployable Energy's Unity Nuclear Battery, a 1MWe gas-cooled microreactor designed for modular, containerized deployment. Deployable Energy's test reactor recently achieved criticality at the Idaho National Laboratory under the US Department of Energy's Nuclear Energy Launch Pad initiative. The partnership targets customer engagements and an initial pilot project, with further details pending.
