GridStor has acquired the 199 MW / 796 MWh Birdseye battery energy storage project located in Adams County, Colorado, from Accelergen. The project is anticipated to achieve commercial operation by the end of 2028, with construction scheduled to commence as early as 2027. This acquisition marks GridStor's fifth in the past 18 months and its second in the Western US, expanding its portfolio of high-quality projects. Once operational, Birdseye is expected to supply power equivalent to over 150,000 households during daily peak demand periods, supporting power system reliability for Western utilities.
