GSE awards €765 million in grants for 1.5 GW of agrivoltaic projects in Italy

The Gestore dei servizi energetici (GSE) has published the first concession act for the "Agrivoltaic Development" facility, allocating a maximum contribution of €765 million to 650 approved requests for 1.5 GW of power. Repower, a Milan-based company, received a €22.11 million contribution for its 62.4 MW project in Palermo, Sicily. Sardinia Agro Solar Energy, a subsidiary of Futura Group, secured the highest financing of €24.48 million for a 40.8 MW park in the province of South Sardinia. Puglia leads geographically with 88 projects, followed by Sicily (78) and Calabria (52). The GSE also published the second concession act for biomethane plants and the first list for renewable energy communities (Cacer), which admitted 12,008 requests for 208.8 MW and a maximum contribution of €101.4 million.
