Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Solar · Country: Morocco · Capacity: 13 MW · Announced: 2026-07-02
H2air PX announced the delivery of a 13 MWc floating photovoltaic plant to Tanger Med Utilities in Morocco. The plant, built on a reservoir fed by a dam, consists of three floating islands covering 72 870 m² and is designed to cope with water level variations of 35‑79 m. The project was awarded after a 2023 tender and is the largest floating solar installation operating in Africa, supplying electricity to the Tanger Med port facilities. H2air PX coordinated the design and integration of modules, inverters and the substation, while the construction consortium EnergyDesign, Seaflex and Profloating provided civil works, anchoring and flotation systems. The delivery underscores H2air’s claim of 360 MW of renewable capacity built worldwide and strengthens Tanger Med’s renewable energy portfolio. No financial terms were disclosed, and the plant’s water‑quality monitoring equipment meets environmental requirements for the site.
