Helexia signs partnership with elmy to deploy behind-the-meter battery storage for corporates

Helexia signed a partnership with elmy to develop an integrated behind-the-meter battery storage offering for tertiary and industrial companies, combining Helexia's development, financing, installation and performance guarantee services with elmy's multi-market energy management and tailored green electricity supply. The partners say their combined offering can be delivered and commissioned in 15 months and is designed to increase self-consumption and shift demand while monetizing batteries both behind-the-meter and on energy markets. Leroy Merlin has already contracted the solution to equip three stores (Toulouse, Caen, Saint-Étienne) with 537 kW / 1,208 kWh batteries each and a logistics warehouse in Réau with a 2.5 MW / 5 MWh battery, with commissioning planned in the second half of 2027. Helexia and elmy aim to roll out 50 MW of storage over three years, and the system includes up to four hours of backup capability and potential to support new high-electricity uses such as heavy vehicle charging. The announcement frames the deal as both a commercial deployment (Leroy Merlin) and a wider commercial partnership targeting corporate storage roll-out across France over a multi-year horizon.
