Helios Nordic Energy Finland Oy also disclosed plans to build a solar power plant at the same Alapitkä location in Lapinlahti, Finland. The solar installation will support the data center’s energy needs and will be sited adjacent to the existing substation. The announcement was made in August 2026, with construction slated to begin alongside the data center development. The solar project reinforces Helios’s strategy of pairing renewable generation with its data center assets, under the ownership of VINCI Group.
