Hexatronic Group signs long‑term supply agreement with NKT for expanded submarine fibre‑optic cable production

Hexatronic Group signed a long‑term supply agreement with Danish cable maker NKT. The contract covers the output of a new submarine fibre‑optic cable production line at Hexatronic’s Hudiksvall facility in Sweden. The line will more than double annual capacity from roughly SEK 150‑200 million to over SEK 500 million, and is slated for commissioning in 2028. The expanded capacity is intended to meet rising demand from offshore wind projects and subsea communication networks across Europe. The agreement secures a steady supply of cables for NKT through 2032, strengthening both companies’ positions in the growing offshore energy market. No financial terms were disclosed, and the deal was announced on 29 June 2026.
