Hitachi Energy and Eve Air Mobility sign partnership to develop electric aircraft infrastructure

Hitachi Energy and Eve Air Mobility signed a letter of intent to form a partnership for electric aircraft infrastructure. The collaboration will design electrification solutions for vertiports, initially targeting São Paulo, Brazil and New York, USA. The partners aim to support the first commercial eVTOL operations expected to launch in the next few years. The deal expands Hitachi Energy’s electric grid portfolio into urban air mobility while giving Eve Air Mobility a trusted grid partner for its vertiport network. The partnership was announced on 17 July 2026 and will involve joint engineering teams to develop charging, power management and safety systems for the new vertiports. No financial terms were disclosed.
