South Korean heavy equipment manufacturer Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) signed a $675.6 million supply agreement with US energy infrastructure developer Corban Energy to deliver 1GW of natural-gas generating capacity using HHI's 9.6MW HiMSEN engines. The deal marks HHI's largest transaction in the data center power generation market to date and follows a previous 684MW natural gas turbine supply agreement with Aperion Energy Group in April 2026. The 1GW capacity will power a data center being developed by an undisclosed technology company in the US, with Corban Energy serving as the energy infrastructure partner. HHI's HiMSEN engines are medium-sized units designed for efficient and reliable power generation, positioning the company to expand its presence in the growing data center energy supply sector.
