Ignis signs PPA with Apto for renewable power supply to 82 MW data‑center campus in Fuenlabrada, Spain
Type: Ppa · Technology: Solar · Country: Spain · Capacity: 94 MW · Announced: 2026-07-16
Ignis signed a power purchase agreement with the British data‑center developer Apto to supply renewable electricity for Apto’s new 82 MW‑capacity campus in Fuenlabrada, Madrid. The PPA is linked to a 94 MW photovoltaic plant that Ignis has developed and built, which will provide the renewable energy needed for the 195,000 m² data‑center site. The campus, located 14 km from central Madrid on the former bottling‑plant site, involves more than €2 billion of investment, including landscaping and recreational areas. Ignis will also promote the necessary electrical infrastructure, such as new transmission lines and substations, to connect the complex to the grid. The agreement supports Apto’s strategy to create climate‑neutral data centres under the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact and expands Ignis’s portfolio, which already exceeds 1 GW of owned generation. No financial terms were disclosed, and the deal was announced on 16 July 2026.
