Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison spins off fiber business into Infra Fiber Teknologi joint venture with Arsari Group

Type: Partnership · Technology: Telecom · Country: Indonesia · Value: $651.3M · Announced: 2026-07-06

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) completed the spin-off of its fiber business into a new independent joint venture called Infra Fiber Teknologi (IFT), in partnership with Arsari Group. The deal monetized Indosat's fiber assets, generating IDR11.7 trillion (USD 651.3 million) while retaining a 49.9% stake in the platform through its ICT arm Aplikanusa Lintasarta. IFT operates over 86,000km of fiber infrastructure across Indonesia, including backbone, domestic subsea, and access networks, structured as an independently governed open-access platform. The transaction builds on a December 2025 agreement where Indosat and Lintasarta initially spun off their fiber business into FiberCo before selling stakes to Nusantara Fiber Teknologi (NFT), Arsari Group's investment platform. IFT's fiber footprint spans 45% in Java and 55% in non-Java regions, targeting underserved communities to expand digital connectivity nationwide.
