Ingeteam supplied a 10 MW / 20 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) along with plant control (PPC) and SCADA systems for Pure Data Centres Group's pioneering microrred at its Dublin campus. The installation, part of the Orion Phase 1 project, is the first large-scale data center microrred in Europe and operates independently of the national grid. Ingeteam's liquid-cooled Ingecon Sun Storage C inverters and 10 MVA Grid Forming system enable the microrred to integrate three energy centers with battery storage, raising the campus's total installed capacity to 110 MW. This marks Ingeteam's third energy storage project in Ireland since entering the market in 2020.
