Inseego Corp. completes acquisition of Nokia's Fixed Wireless Access business

Type: Acquisition · Technology: Telecom · Country: Netherlands/Global · Value: $10M · Announced: 2026-10-01

Inseego Corp. completed the acquisition of Nokia's Fixed Wireless Access business on 2026-10-01, with Nokia also making a $10 million cash investment in Inseego and receiving approximately 1.9 million shares (about an 11% stake) plus warrants to buy roughly 0.8 million shares at $4.26 per share. The transaction adds indoor, outdoor and millimeter-wave FWA solutions and roughly 250 personnel across engineering, product management, supply chain and customer support, and extends Inseego's footprint across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Oceania and the Americas. To support global operations, Inseego established an international headquarters in Amsterdam and a development center in Athens and expanded presence in Bangalore, while Nokia will provide transition services and refer new FWA opportunities where FWA is part of broader Nokia network deployments. The companies will collaborate on interoperability, AI-RAN, converged fiber and 5G connectivity, end-to-end network optimization and distributed edge computing to pursue joint technology integration over the coming year. A separate $10 million cash payment from Nokia to Inseego is scheduled by 2026-10-15 to support engineering work to integrate device OS and cloud platform interoperability with Nokia technology ecosystems.
