IREN acquires Nostrum Group to expand European data center capacity for AI infrastructure

IREN, a Nasdaq-listed company specializing in AI infrastructure, completed the acquisition of Ingenostrum, S.L. (Nostrum Group), a Spanish developer of AI-focused data centers connected to the electrical grid. The transaction adds approximately 490 MW of secured and grid-connected energy capacity in Spain, along with an additional pipeline of projects under development. IREN also gains a team of over 50 professionals with expertise in development, engineering, construction, and operations. The acquisition strengthens IREN's position in Europe, a region experiencing rapid growth in AI infrastructure demand driven by generative AI technologies and increasing computational capacity needs.
